Following our other article on this project, we wanted to share a video on how 2D orthomosaics provided high image detail on the condition of Portsmouth Naval Memorial.
The level of detail from the 2D orthomosaic is very useful when it comes to identifying defects, inspecting the condition of the stonework and pointing. They can also be used as a layer within AutoCAD or GIS platforms to visualise the structure, measurements and map defects.
We carried out a survey of the Portsmouth Naval Memorial using drone technology and total station, capturing an unbelievable amount of detail and resolution.
