We carried out a large materials stockpile survey for year-end financial reporting using RTK/PPK drone technology and GNSS receiver for control without putting people at risk of operating in a live site environment.

There were a lot of access restrictions and dangers with carrying out this survey so it was decided that drone technology was the ideal solution over terrestrial laser scanning with fast, accurate, cost effective and safer data capture.

A full stockpile volume report was completed by our surveyor for the client.
