No council permit or closure of roads/footpaths for building inspection

No council permit, closure of roads/footpaths or cherry picker required for the inspection of a building in central London using drone technology

We carried out a visual inspection of the facades, gutters, parapets, roof etc on a building in central London that has various access restrictions due to its location in a built up area. Accessing each side of the building with a cherry picker would have been very time consuming and costly with permits required from the council because one sides was on a busy road.

Using our operational safety case (OSC) we used drones to carry out an inspection of the building without any special permits required or road/footpath closures. The inspection was carried out safely without any disruption to those within the building.

The level of detail we achieved from the HD images and the ability to access any area makes using drone technology the ideal solution for building inspections and/or surveys.

Using drone technology for planned preventive maintenance (PPM) regimes is safer, quicker and cheaper than traditional methods while capturing superior data.
