We're delighted that ProDroneWorx won the award for ‘Best Use of Drones in a Construction Project’ at the Building Innovation Awards in Manchester last week.

It was fantastic to work with Kier on the HMP Five Wells project. We worked on this project for over 3 years providing survey grade digital data that enabled the team at Kier to make decisions on the as-build vs design of this large construction project that was delivered on time.

Kier were able to accurately compare the as built vs design on a regular basis that de-risked the project significantly from costly delays and mistakes during the earthworks and construction phases. This also enabled Kier to carry out clash detection in various areas or sections in the project during its whole life cycle.

We hope that winning this award will lead to the increased awareness within the construction/infrastructure industry on the many benefits drone technology and photogrammetry brings to the topographical surveying of projects.
